About the Role

 

Our Marketing Lead will play a critical role in the company’s success. We are on a path to becoming the world’s largest sync licensing community and marketplace with www.mdiio.com, and www.hyprAUDIO.com. Our new Marketing Lead must be a highly motivated self-starter who can effectively contribute to growing awareness of the MDIIO platform, working with our entrepreneurial team.

Requirements and Responsibilities

Highlights of Responsibilities:


Helping establish, define and continually push the vision and branding of Songistry’s brands throughout all of its channel outlets, being on the cutting edge of our industry. You will lead a team of marketing professionals. This is a fast moving and bootstrapping position and you need to be able to jump right in and start running.


Technical Responsibilities:


  • You have five years of creative studio experience and/or building branding, websites, and user interfaces in a leadership/management capacity

  • You have ridiculously awesome design taste and skills

  • You get the fundamentals as well as anyone. (You know, things like brand identity, layout, color, typography, composition and photography)

  • You are just as concerned about how something interacts and “feels” as it “looks.”

  • You can present your marketing ideas and concepts like a master

  • You have executed upon various SEO/ SEM techniques with great results

  • You have experience in running and managing online advertising campaigns and sponsorships (direct sponsorships, AdWords, Meta Ads, etc.)

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:


  • Develop a marketing strategy for the organization and for new and existing products or services

  • Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy

  • Develop and evolve our brand strategies

  • Set and administer a marketing budget

  • Create and manage a calendar of events such as webinars, social content, conferences and thought leadership contributions

  • Guide the day-to-day activities of the digital marketing and social media managers

  • Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary

  • Provide tools and materials to enable the sales team to function effectively

  • Manage and refine the organization’s social media presence

  • Manage and measure marketing campaign costs and success/conversion

  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs

  • Utilize data for marketing campaigns, interrogating the organization’s databases and external data

  • With other senior executives, identify new business opportunities;

  • Conduct market research studies

  • Negotiate with media agencies and secure agreements on the production of promotional materials

 

Qualifications:


  • At least 5 years of experience working within the music industry from a marketing perspective

  • Graduate of an accredited Marketing and or Business program.

  • Strong visual sense with the ability to take ideas from concept to completion.

  • Exceptional design and typography skills

  • High proficiency in Adobe CC, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Well versed in graphic design methods, practices, techniques, and associated principles

  • Experience creating and editing promotional video content

  • Attention to detail to meet strong quality assurance expectations

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/GSuite

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines and deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget

  • Self-starter and ability to work interdependently as part of a fast-paced team

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive and supportive relationships with all colleagues

  • UX/UI design experience and/or interest would be a tremendous asset;

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills are a must

  • Good organizational and planning skills

  • Skills to create, manage and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote Songistry brands, through conferences and events

  • The ability to lead and motivate a team

  • Skills to analyze, observe and monitoring market trends
